All of our operations shape and change the environment
We and our partners are committed to environmentally responsible construction, and we strive to minimise harmful impacts of our operations. Our objective is that no harm should be done to the environment.
Lemminkäinen Infra Oy’s operations are subject to environmental legislation as well as the environmental requirements of our customers and stakeholders. We are developing and improving our operations by taking account of environmental issues already at the work planning stage. We pay particular attention to the selection and use of production sites, raw materials, working methods, machines and equipment, to energy procurement, and to the organisation of waste management and recycling.
We analyse the environmental risks of our operations, we report dangerous situations, and we investigate accidents as well as near-misses. We actively participate in our industry’s development projects and environmental debate. Our environmental management is guided by a certificated ISO 14001 environmental management system.
For us, environmental protection is an on-going process involving adequate resources, continuous training and development work as well as the entire personnel’s commitment to the achievement of quality, safety and environmental goals.
