The aim of our research and development work is to improve the fundamental requirements of the company’s business as well as its products and services. We develop our operations, products and services in partnership with our customers. The end-result is better service and quality of work. The company’s many long-standing business relationships are a good indication of the quality of its work.
Similar longevity is also apparent in our subcontractor relationships, many of which have been sustained over the years from project to project and site to site. We and our partners focus on the needs of our customers on the basis of common operating models.
Lemminkäinen Infra Oy is one of Finland’s biggest infrastructure construction companies in terms of R&D expenditure. In 2007 we spent over EUR 3 million on research and development work, which is considerably higher than the industry average. Each year there are about 200 different R&D projects under way in our company.
