An asphalt with a smooth surface texture is recommended especially if the yard is also to be used as a play area for children. The asphalt concrete pavement is laid as a single-course structure, where the correct aggregate size and thickness of the asphalt are taken into consideration.
Parking area pavements can be built as single-layer or two-layer structures. For larger parking areas that are used by heavy good vehicles, base course asphalt concrete (ACBa) can be installed under the wearing course.
